So much to explore...

and it's even better on a bike.

Here are some road rides that our team and clients often do, with a variety of lengths and difficulties. Many variations are possible, so you can easily make these routes shorter or longer (there are very few roads in the region that are not pleasant to ride on)*.

This is a scenic ride through the Lavaux vineyards that overlook Lake Geneva. You start with a gentle climb up the beautiful ‘Corniche’ road and return via the flatter lake road.

A fast group ride leaves from the shop every Wednesday evening (see the calendar), which is nicknamed the Wednesday World Championships. The route changes each week, but this version includes all of their favorite bits.

Lake Geneva Tour

170 km, ~800 metres total climbing, Strava

Ride around the largest lake in the Alps. There is a cyclosportif in May, but it’s great to do at any time of year. Definitely do the ride clockwise so you are always on the lake-side of the road and there are then far fewer intersections with cross-traffic. You can even hop on a boat for part of your journey.

Col du Mollendruz

92 km, ~1500 metres total climbing, Strava

Visit our local col in the Jura mountains and some farmlands along the way! The route can be done in either direction; Fred thinks it’s best done anticlockwise so that the road is queiter when climbing the col, but Chris prefers to do it clockwise. The best way in and out of Lausanne depends on where you are starting from, we’ve shown one possible option, but there are many alternatives. You could also start and end in Cheseaux or Cossonay (both of which have train stations) to completely avoid the section going in and out of Lausanne.
